The International Wine and Spirits Guild offers two basic seminars, which individually act as introductory courses of study designed for individuals who desire to learn about wine and/or spirits.

- Wine Seminar: The basic Guild Wine Seminar is an introductory course for professionals and enthusiasts that introduces France, Italy and United States wine as well as technical descriptive evaluation and comparative evaluation. You will receive about 175 pages of material and learn how to evaluate 26 wines with 1 oz. pours.
- Fine Spirits Seminar: The Guild Fine Spirits Seminar is designed to introduce enthusiasts and/or professional to fine spirits. That is, spirits consumed neat or straight. Students learn about fine spirits production and evaluation. You will evaluate about 24 different spirits with 1 oz. pours. This is NOT a mixology seminar.
